Creative Teaching Scheme for Special Learning — Planning Our Day Trip

21st Century Classroom

Overview

This teaching plan connects learning content with daily applications and add applications that will be used in daily life in the design of classroom activities to become part of experience and extension. At the same time, a comprehensive self-directed learning according to the information technology capabilities of students with special learning needs is constructed. Students are expected to make choices at their own pace and abilities and make good use of tools to improve their learning motivation and enhance their self-directed learning skills. Simple and suitable free IT tools are utilised to demonstrate 'Promoting Independent Learning for Students with Intellectual Disabilities through Basic Mobile Apps'. From the data analysis, students can access and use the application anytime and anywhere, and can adjust their learning progress at their own pace. Teachers can also understand students’ preferences in learning, and design positive learning processes and tasks.
This class lets teachers self-reflect different learning themes in mathematics and design learning activities that are closely related to daily life. Students may brainstorm mobile apps that are relevant to their daily life experience and experience how mathematical knowledge can be practically applied in daily life. As portable electronic devices greatly improve our efficiency and quality of life, it is also important to simulate the future with this life experience.
