From Theory to Practice, the Implementation of MI theory into a School Context

Future Learning Theatre

Overview

The theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) was suggested by Howard Gardner in 1983. It has been very popular as it embraces different intelligences, such as linguistic, interpersonal, logical-mathematical, musical, bodily-kinesthetic as well as existential intelligences. In traditional practice, schools do provide many extra-curricular activities (ECA) in school context. However, are there any differences between ECA and MI from parents’ and teachers’ points of view? Today, we would like to share the experiences, difficulties and effectiveness during the process of how the theory of Multiple Intelligences of Howard Gardner can be implemented at school context.
