SEN Theatre
Overview
Donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the 3-year ‘Heep Hong Society Jockey Club iRead & iLearn Support Programme’ was successfully launched in August 2020. It aims at supporting kindergartens and junior primary school students at risk of/with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), along with their parents and teachers.
The programme includes four components:
(1) A comprehensive online resources platform with a variety of training resources, including 30 interactive online games;
(2) A Joyful Reading Scheme with 24 story books for paired reading with three levels of difficulties, story-based AR games;
(3) Offline educational support scheme; and
(4) Public education.
The speaker of this seminar will introduce the difficulties faced by children with SpLD in learning Chinese. Multi-sensory games on literacy learning will be demonstrated.
