Enhance Reading Literacy through Bridge-books and Novels

Overview

This project investigates the teaching process from bridge-books to novels and aims at laying students' reading foundation and helping them progress from picture books to novel reading. In addition, the reading strategies framework is consolidated through incorporating whole-book teaching into school-based Chinese reading curriculum, empowering students’ ability to analyse reading passages and enhancing their reading ability.
