Overview
CoolPlay Project is a three-year funded project operating by the Department of Childcare, Elderly and Community Services, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin) and Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. It aims at promoting high-quality, developmentally appropriate early STEM education.
The Department of Childcare, Elderly and Community services, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (CECS/IVE) mainly provides teacher training via workshops and on-site consultations for 20 pilot schools. The implementation of high-quality early STEM education will be based on the kindergarten's curriculum, family culture, community resources and children's ability and experiences.
This kindergarten will demonstrate the effective practice for early STEM education in their kindergarten setting and their teaching and learning challenges.
