Widen the Horizon: Implementing Blended Learning Approach in General Studies

Overview

This module is designed with Blended Learning mode and HOT skills elements. Through diverse learning activities, students will find out the bad influences on the individuals, on the family and on the whole community which caused by cigarette, alcohol and drugs. Students have developed some practical skills to fight against the allure and establish positive values. This BL module also aims to develop students' generic skills such as problem solving, communication, critical thinking, study, self-management, creativity and information literacy skills and so on.

This open lesson will demonstrate:
1. School-based development progress of Blended Learning;
2. Module design and organisation in Blended Learning;
3. How the FlipaClip Booklet supports self-directed learning ; and
4. Students’ work;
5. Allocating learning task for pre-lesson, during lesson and after-lesson.

Teachers can try the basic functions of FlipaClip. Meanwhile, they will know more about how to guide students to use this media to create and extent their learning theme in GS module.
