Nurture Students' Computational Thinking Skills through the Development of Junior Form Tech Ed Curriculum

InnoSTEMer (Seminar)

Overview

The school has developed a school-based STEAM course in junior forms, using different platforms and tools to cultivate students' abilities in programming, problem-solving, and creativity. From blocky programming (e.g. Micro:bit) to textual programming (e.g. Arduino), students can gradually master the concepts and skills in programming, and it also lays a solid foundation for their senior form studies. The curriculum also includes projects, with themes such as marine environmental protection and 'Sustainable Development Goals' by United Nations to enhance students' awareness of global citizenship.
