Future Learning Theatre

Overview

Computational thinking CT) is one of the most critical skills in the 21st Century, which allows us to react to the fast-changing society and tackle problems using innovative approaches. The education sector takes a proactive approach to promote CT education, equipping students with the related knowledge, skills and attitudes needed from a young age. CoolThink@JC Programme, created and funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, has the aim of mainstreaming CT Education in Hong Kong.

This seminar will cover the vision and pedagogy of CT, frontline experience on the implementation of curriculum as well as the school-based and subject-based adaptation. Given that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and global technology learning have become popular these years, frontline teachers from CoolThink@JC participating schools will also share how they further developed a set of school-based AI units for students to deep-dive into their learning on top of the AI units from the programme. Outstanding students’ work will be displayed in this seminar, showcasing students’ innovation and capability in developing design thinking through tackling everyday life issues and image recognition.
