Overview

When analysing the scope of the 21st century skills and competencies in various initiatives, it is essential to look at the whole-person development of the individuals. Similar views on students’ whole-person development are found when reviewing literature from different organisations and the curriculum documents from the Education Bureau. The team, therefore, identifies a whole array of recommended elements for nurturing whole-person development for gifted students. Adding to these common recommendations, the team also concluded with further ideas by analysing the learning process of the gifted students as well as feedback from programme instructors. From there, the team consolidates the information and develop a curriculum framework that steers the planning, development, and implementation of programmes for facilitating whole-person development for gifted students.
