Introduction to AI

Overview

Artificial intelligence (AI) education is an emerging trend around the globe. Nations are incorporating AI education in their curriculum. Many local secondary schools realize the importance of AI education in the early ages. Yet, AI is difficult for students to understand, because it contains a lot of complex knowledge such as algorithm and programming. As most teachers did not major in engineering, while teachers who majored in AI are even rare, AI education delivery is never easy. Even if teachers possess AI knowledge, how to deliver them to students is the biggest challenge. This workshop will introduce basic AI knowledge and principles to participants. The speaker will also demonstrate how to deliver AI education in a simple and easy way, and use an AI robot car namd CUHK-JC iCar, which is developed by CUHK Jockey Club AI for the Future Project to demonstrate the differences between AI and humans.
